2-day rescue course on whitewater with many rescue simulation
 

Course focus

 
The course with emphasis to whitewater, developing rescue and self rescue techniques, using roupe for rescue, plans and tactics on whitewater. Entry skills - knowledge from Instructor course.
 

Program of course

 
  1. Introduction- enter exam, historical and new activity on turist rivers, basic psychological aspects of rescue, required knowledge of group leader
  2. Working with rope and rescue rope techniques
  3. Group paddling, equipment, preparation, organisation
  4. Rescue in group from bank or from river, high risk situation
  5. Final exam - first aid, hydrology, paddling on unknow part of river, group rescue, rescue equipment, critical situation.

  • Course duration: 16 hours
  • Locality: will be announce
  • Equipment: paddle shoes, neoprene, paddle cag and teddy, buoyancy Aids with harness belt with quick release buckle, paddle helmet.
  • Recommended equipment: You can use your own boat or you can use our plastic or inflatable canoe.

Purpose of course

 
  1. prevention from hazardous situations and their solution on whitewater
  2. skills and rescue techniques on whitewater
  3. Rescue technique during capsize of raft, self-rescue and rescue of others
  4. control of rescue equipments in difficult situations
 

Terms and conditions for whitewater in course

 
  1. swimming ability (swim 200m without pause and 10m under water).
  2. Basic control of raft.
  3. Experience of having paddled at least 50km parts of rivers with WW II (or higher) difficulty within last 3 years
  4. Medical checkup.
  5. Age above 15 years
